ABC News reports, “‘Empire’ actor Jussie Smollett charges dropped; Chicago mayor and top cop furious, as prosecutor admits he believes TV star fabricated attack.”

In a stunning move, prosecutors in Chicago dropped all charges against “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett on Tuesday despite acknowleging Smollet fabricated a street attack on himself in an attempt to get a pay raise.

“We stand behind the investigation and the facts revealed,” said Joe Magats, the first assistant state attorney in Illinois, who took over the case when his boss, State Attorney Kim Foxx, recused herself from the probe after it surfaced that she had been in touch with Smollett’s family.

“We believe he did what he was charged with doing,” Magats said in an interview with ABC station WLS-TV in Chicago.

Asked again whether he believes Smollett fabricated the incident, Magats replied, “yes.”

Ever creative, California Public Health Officials are experimenting with a unique new approach to solving the homeless person sanitation problem – The California ‘Street’ Bidet.

Jennifer Millar keeps trash bags and hand sanitizer near her tent, and she regularly pours water mixed with hydrogen peroxide on the sidewalk nearby. Keeping herself and the patch of concrete she calls home clean is a top priority.

But this homeless encampment off a Hollywood freeway ramp is often littered with needles and trash and soaked in urine. Rats occasionally scamper through, and Millar fears the consequences.

The new film King Richard is facing allegations of “colorism,” as critics say that actor Will Smith’s lighter skin tone does not match the actual skin tone of the character he is cast to play.

Will Smith is reportedly cast as Richard Williams, the father and tennis mentor of Venus and Serena Williams.

Several journalists and cultural critics have accused the film of “colorism” — the idea that between people of color, there are more privileges and opportunities for those with a lighter skin tone.
