Pope ‘AGW-Climate Change-Global Warming (AKA: Weather)’ Gives Trump a Letter

From the Independent, “The Pope gave Donald Trump a 192-page letter he wrote on climate change“.

Donald Trump was given a gift during his meeting with Pope Francis at the Vatican: a papal letter detailing why the world should fight against climate change.

Pope Francis issued the encyclical in 2015, just months before nearly 200 countries signed the historic Paris Agreement on climate change.

The agreement is considered a large part of President Obama’s legacy, particularly his work on environmental issues like establishing a protected national park in Hawaii and passing legislation on clean energy.

The “Donald” said thanks.

The “Gore Effect” In Full Bloom for Denver Climate March

The “Gore Effect” is in full bloom (yeah, a pun) as reported by The Daily Caller.

The “Gore Effect” is Priceless

Activists intent on organizing a climate march in Colorado were forced to postpone their events after a snowstorm dumped more than a foot of snow on parts of the state. The blizzard-like conditions have prompted groups to rescheduled the march for Sunday, weather permitting of course. Temperatures in the area have dipped below the freezing mark.

Trump – “I Love the Smell of Carbon Fuels in the Morning….”

From Reuters, “Trump signs order dismantling Obama-era climate policies“.

President Donald Trump on Tuesday signed an order to undo Obama-era climate change regulations, keeping a campaign promise to support the coal industry and calling into question U.S. support for an international deal to fight global warming.

Flanked by coal miners and coal company executives, Trump proclaimed his “Energy Independence” executive order at the headquarters of the Environmental Protection Agency.

Spring Nor’Easter Update – Diving For Cherry Blossoms

NBC4 Washington reports, “Cherry Blossoms Endangered If Temperature Drops to 24 Degrees“.

A major nor’easter is expected to sweep up the East Coast, bringing with it snow, cold temperatures and high winds. That could be dangerous for Washington’s beloved cherry blossoms.

Low temperatures of 27 degrees would result in about a 10 percent loss of blossoms, National Park Service officials said. If the temperature drops to 24 degrees or colder, it could kill as much as 90 percent of the pink-petaled wonders.

AGW – Spring Nor’Easter (2)

Punxsutawney Phil, ” the pleasantly plump Pennsylvania marmot”, screwed the pooch again this year.  From AccuWeather, “Major nor’easter threatens to halt travel from DC to Boston”.

A major nor’easter threatens to shut down travel due to heavy snow and strong winds from Washington, D.C., to New York City and Boston early this week. Blizzard conditions will develop in part of the northeastern United States.

A storm will first continue to bring snow and travel problems in the Midwest through Monday.

A new storm will rapidly strengthen and track within a couple of hundred miles of the east coast of the U.S. spanning Monday night to Tuesday night.
