According to the AP, another Democratic email fiasco has sent Debbie Wasserman Schultz packing, “On their convention’s eve, Democrats bedeviled anew by email“.

The resignation of Debbie Wasserman Schultz as chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee made for a rocky start on Sunday, as the Florida Democrat_Debbie_Medusacongresswoman heeded Sanders’ longstanding call to leave as party chief. Her departure comes a few days after the publication of 19,000 hacked emails, which Sanders said confirmed his belief the national party played favorites for Clinton during the primary.

 

A Wall for We, but Not for Thee

How ironically hypocritical is it that the Democratic National Comittee has built a wall around their Democratic Convention Center to protect themselves from who?  Other Democrats, that’s who.

Here’s what The American Mirror says, “DNC erects four-mile eight-foot tall fence around Philly convention site“.

To the Democratic National Committee elites, keeping average Americans away from their convention is a good idea, while protecting the southern DNC_Dems_Convention_Wall_Fox29_Reportborder from intruding terrorists, rapists and murderers is a bad one.

The DNC has erected a four-mile fence around its convention site at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center. (Isn’t it ironic they’re doing so much to protect a site named after a bank?)

The fence, which appears to be about 8 feet tall, is intended to keep out any individuals with whom Democratic Party leaders, delegates and other liberal elites would rather not mingle.

Speaking at The Independent Woodstock Literary Festival, Frank Dikötter, a Hong Kong-based historian, said he found that during the time that Mao was enforcing the Great Leap Forward in 1958, in an effort to catch up with the economy of the Western world, he was responsible for overseeing “one of the worst catastrophes the world has ever known”.

Mr Dikötter, who has been studying Chinese rural history from 1958 to 1962, when the nation was facing a famine, compared the systematic torture, brutality, starvation and killing of Chinese peasants to the Second World War in its magnitude. At least 45 million people were worked, starved or beaten to death in China over these four years; the worldwide death toll of the Second World War was 55 million.
